Troubles with Dynamic Link

Good afternoon fellow bloggers! Over the past couple of days, I have been kicking my editing into overdrive trying to make my groups film, "Super"Hero, as good as it can possibly be. I've talked about how I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects simultaneously, going back and forth on both programs. This was possible with the help of the Dynamic Link feature. What this does, is that it links the two programs together, making it possible for me to use one program, and see the changes being made in real time on the other.

However, as you may have picked up by the title, not everything has gone according to plan with this once marvelous seeming feature, and I had to make the hard decision of abandoning the use of it. Today, I would like to go over it with you all, and show you why I've chosen to do so.

You see, as I was editing a clip within After Effects, I looked at the composition, seeing how it was turning out, when I noticed something was completely wrong: the image was WAY to bright. This confused me, at first I thought that it was just my eyes playing tricks on me, so I went back to see if the original clip seemed any different. But once I did, I realized that this was no trick.

As you can clearly see, the clip was EXTREMELY bright after being put through the dynamic link. This was devastating to me, I began to do research, seeing if anyone had experienced such an issue before, and if they ever found a work around. Surprisingly, I was found that many had experienced similar issues, but none of them came baring good news.

I wasn't able to find a single potential fix online, and when I tried to fix the problem myself, I ended up just making things worse. After doing some more research, I discovered that it was a known fact that the Dynamic Link feature was actually very unreliable with it having many issues attached to it.

So, I sadly had to make the decision of no longer using the feature. Because of this, it has made importing the clips to the two different applications a little more difficult, but now there are no issues being had. And with all of that behind me, I'm now back on track to finishing the editing of my teams film.
