Our Filming Studio

Good afternoon everyone! Editing is just about wrapping up and I'm loving the way it's turning out. However, something interesting came up during editing that I felt I should share with you bloggers.

Introducing: Linguine Productions! You see, while editing and putting in the credits of everyone who worked on the project and their roles during its creations. Because of this, I had wanted to place a credit that read, "(Studio Name) Presents" right before the title-card, "Super"-Hero, was shown off in all its glory. However, this came with the sudden realization that my team and I never came up with a name for our studio.

While coming up with a name wasn't the most important thing in the world, my group and I quickly began discussing what the potential name could be, and eventually landed on Linguine Productions. While this may seem random at first, there is actually some meaning behind the it.

While discussing, we came to a general consensus that the name should hold some sort of meaning behind it. You see, a big part of this project has been about the people that have worked on it, and how our friendships have allowed us to work together to make our film. Because of this, we wanted the name to reflect us and our team.

With that in mind, we began suggesting different name for the studio. Many different names we suggested, a noteworthy one is the name 'Fishman Studios'.  You see, many members with our team, myself included, are major fans of the TV show 'OnePiece' and as of writing this blog post, the show is currently releasing a remastered version of an outdated part of the show titled 'The Fish-Man Island Arc'.

Because of our love for the show and its characters, some of us started gravitating toward the name. However, we quickly decided against the name. Our reasoning behind this decision is that the name just has little to do with our project as a whole. So with that out of the way, we went back to the drawing board.

Eventually, someone in our group suggested 'Linguine Productions' and we immediately decided that it was the perfect fit. Some of you may be asking yourselves, "Why such an odd name?" Well there's actually some meaning behind the name and why we chose it.

As some of you may recall, when discussing what our film should be about all those months ago, my team was coming up with multiple concepts for the potential story. One of those stories has actually stuck with us all these months later. That story was titled, 'Manuel y Linguine', and if you may recall, focused on two brothers that dressed up as the game characters Mario and Luigi all there lives.

Even though some of my team liked the idea a lot, we ultimately decided against going forward with it, instead choosing to go the route of making "Super"-Hero. But even though we didn't go through with making the story our project. The concept still stuck with us. And so, as a way to commemorate the film that could've been, we decided to base our studios name off of it.

Again, even though something as little as like the name of our made-up studio may not be important to others, it's important to keep in mind that this project has been a part of my whole teams lives for the past couple of months. And because of that, we wanted every little detail, no matter how insignificant, to feel as at home with us as possible.
