Learning After Effects

Hello again! Over the past couple days, I've talked about how I have been learning Adobe After Effects as a tool for editing my group and I's project. Because there isn't anyone to really show me the ropes of the program, I have had to self teach the program to myself.

A big part of my self teaching is going to pre-existing YouTube tutorials to help me with the specific things I'm looking for. With that being said, today I wanted to highlight just some of the videos that have been a major help to me and my days of editing.

The Big Rano

Last blog post I talked about the major issue of how Dynamic Linking was no longer an option that I could use, because of all the major issues that comes with the feature. Because of this, I had to find a way to be able to send my After Effects and Premiere Pro files back and forth between the applications manually. I was able to import my Premiere Pro clips into After Effects fairly easily, but when it came to doing it the other way around, I ran into some difficulties.

Thankfully, this video helped me out a lot, and showed me the process that I had to take in order to import my After Effect files into Premiere Pro.

When filming the scene of our hero, Power-Man, being fully shown off to the audience, I had the idea of having the name of the movie stand out behind him, adding more emphasis to the scene. However, my ambitions were a little to much for myself, as I didn't even know where to get started. Thankfully, this video helped me out, and showed me the easiest way to accomplish the vision I had in mind.
