Day Four of Shooting

Hello again fellow bloggers! As I stated in my last blog, filming has officially wrapped up for "Super"-Hero! Last post I shared how shooting went on our third day of filming. Today, I would like to share with you all how our fourth and last day of filming went. On this last day, we focused on scenes that include Yulian in his Power-Man costume. It was a bit of a bumpy road, but in the end, everything worked out the way we wanted it to.

We began the day by filming the robbers meeting back up together after they heard an explosion. When they finally meet together, the camera does a whip pan toward the glass door of my house, revealing Power-Man and all his glory for the first time.

Surprisingly, this scene was pretty simple, to film, and we were able to get it right after only just a few attempts. Afterward, we filmed the scene of Power-Man stepping into the house, with the camera slowly revealing more and more of him and his costume. The scene itself is quiet simple, but it took a couple of takes in order to get it just right. Even though it was time consuming, it wasn't to horrible to film.

Next up, we filmed the confrontation between the one of the robbers, specifically the one played by Jonathan, and Power-Man. As you may recall, this the Two Shot scene that I detailed in my Camera Shots and Angles post not to long ago. The scene itself wasn't to complex, but getting the perfect angle and orientation for the shot was very difficult. On top of this, Yulian and Jonathan would sometimes misstep, or walk to far forward during the actual scene, causing us to restart the take.

While that scene was difficult, this next one was worse. The fight scene between the robber and Power-Man was easily the hardest scene to film. No matter how many times a shot it, the scene just wouldn’t turn out the way we wanted it to. This was easily the hardest scene we filmed, with this scene taking over an hour to get the whole scene to turn out just the way we wanted it.

Afterward, we filmed the final scene of  the film. Its a one shot starting off with a shot of Power-Man layingon the floor unconsious after his confrontation with the robber. The camera pans to the robber, played by jon, starring confused at the fallen hero, bewildered by strange hero.

Suddenly, his fellow robbers start yelling out his name, crying out that the cops are coming are that they have to flee the scene. Jonathan’s robber begins to run toward his allies. The camera tracks behind him shakily, as his they all scramble to escape the house as quickly as possible,

Finally, after days of tireless work, whether it be filming or acting, we have finally finished shooting our film. I can’t thank my teammates enough for all the hard work that was put into the filming. And of course a special thanks to Sebastian for helping us out, even though he doesn’t get anything out of assisting us. That right there is a sign of true friendship. Even though not all the work is done for this project, all thats left is the post production, and I have hope that it will turn out great!
