Under Two Minutes

Good afternoon bloggers! As I mentioned previously, we've wrapped up our second day of filming just a few short days ago. While I would like to go through everything that happened during shooting, but I believe that all of that is a story to be saved for another time. Instead, I would like to focus on an obstacle that affected us throughout our day, and that was the question of how we were going to fit our intro in just under two minutes.

You see, the plan we have for our project is to make it have a runtime of under two minutes. This may seem like a difficult challenge, but my team and I were ready for it. However, disaster struck, I've previously made a blog post discussing the editing of our project and how it was going thus far, but after uploading that blog post, I discovered that all of the footage we had filmed all added up to just under 1 minute.

While this may not seem like a major issue, it actually was a very big deal to us. You see, even with all the footage that we had recorded, we hadn't even reached the halfway point of our video. That mean's that we had to find a way to trim down the length of the clips. I brought up the situation with my group, and thankfully, we found the perfect solution.

We decided that we for our second day of filming, we would reshoot some of the scenes that we had filmed on our first day, so that we could make them shorter in length, so we wouldn't have to worry about our video going over the limit of two minutes.

Additionally, as I mentioned in my previous blog post,  we had to cut the scene of the robbers stealing from the homeowners bedroom. Although it was a scene that I and some of my other teammates liked a lot, we realized that it just took way to much time within our project. Time that we just simply didn't have.

With all of that said, even with all of the issues that we faced, which I will go more into detail at a later time, I believe that the reshoots turned out just as short as we needed them to be, and even better than the original scenes. So all in all, it was a win!
