Music within our Project

Hello again! Just a few short days ago, I went over the sound being used with my groups film, today, I would like to delve a bit deeper into the subject, and go over the music that we are planning on using within out project!

To start of, my group and I made it gravely apparent that copyrighted music would be not be used within our project, so as to avoid any potential issues with using such songs. With that said, we placed a well needed limit: We would only use songs that were copyright free, or in the public domain.

With that out of the way, we began searching for what songs we could use within our film. With the film focusing on criminals robbing a house for a majority of it, we knew we had to find a song that had a sort of sneaky tone to it. As we scoured for the perfect song, I was able to find the perfect one: the song 'Sneaky Fight' created by small music creator CardiJey.

I feel that the song has sly yet energetic mood to it, matching up perfectly to the mood of our project, making the song the ideal choice for my team to use.

As for what other music will be put on display for our film, its a song that needs little introduction. When planning out 'Power'-Man's entrance for our introduction, we wanted a grand and dramatic song playing over it. When thinking of the scene, only one song played in my head when thinking of what we could use. The only issue was, I didn't know the name of the song, and I wasn't quite sure if it was in the public domain. Even with those glaring issues, I pursued my search, and spent days searching for the specific song.

Finding the music was proving difficult, so I began to look for anything that used the music within it, so that I could then just find the name of the melody using that piece of media. Hours were spent searching, until I finally found something that used the music.

Out of all things, what allowed me to pinpoint the name of the song was the teaser trailer for the Barbie movie. Finally I had found my song, although it took longer than usual, I finally found it. Even greater news, with a little more research, I discovered the tremendous news that the song had just been released into the public domain just a few short years ago.

Without Further ado, I would like to introduce the symphony that I spent so long searching for: The song 'Also Sprach Zarathustra' created by the late conductor Richard Strauss. While the name may not be well known, the song is iconic and immediately recognizable, with it  being better known for it's use in the world famous film, 'A Space Odyssey'.
