Costuming for "Super"- Hero
Hello again, and a happy new year to all! With the filming of our final project coming in just a few short days, I thought it would be best to go over the costumes that we are planning on using for our project. Although I already went over some of this in my last blog, I thought that it would be best to go over it in further detail, sharing the final plans that we have for them.

Power-Man
At first, we planned on buying a superhero costume for our main protagonist, Power-Man. However, with the whole plot of the introduction being that this newly revealed superhero is silly and not the best at his job, we instead decided to go the homemade route for the costume.
This homemade costume needed two things: to be colorful and to embody what a cheaply made superhero costume usually looks like. The image of the little kid striking a pose in his costume is exactly what comes to my mind when thinking about how we want our protagonist to look. In the end, the costume has to push the childish and comedic aspects of our project.

Robbers
For the robbers, the costume design philosophy is similar to that of Power-Man's costume: make it as generic as possible. As I said before, this is a comedy, so making the costumes generic allows the cartoony tone of our intro to shine.
Before, some of my group members wanted the robbers to be dressed in formal attire, but not only did that not fit the aesthetic of our project, but it would have also bee difficult to make happen, as not everyone in my group as a suit that they could wear. As seen above, we plan on making the robbers where dark casual clothing, as to be as sneaky as possible, when stealing the innocent house's goods.
As far as props go, some money bags resembling the one in the picture above would be good, and a plastic bat as a weapon should be all the robbers really need.
