Final Project Mood Board

Good afternoon! Today, my team and I got together and began working on our mood boards for our Final Project as a way to showcase the tone and style that we plan on using in our film.

My main concern was attempting to capture the mood of what the main protagonist, the superhero, will bring to the film. I used the photo of Superman and made it the biggest on the board to drive home the idea that the project would be centered around a super-powered protagonist. With that out of the way, I proceeded to add and use various lesser-known but comedic superheroes to drive home the comedic aspect of the film, such as Captain Man, Plastic Man, Captain Underpants, and my personal favorite: El Chapulín Colorado.

On the top left of the board, I put a photo of a comic book stylized use of onomatopoeia to showcase the cartoony tone and editing we plan to use in the film.  Along with this, I used the pose of a superhero landing on the ground to show off what I picture in my head when thinking of how our hero is going to make his grand first appearance in the project. I also used the portrait of the man slipping on the floor to showcase the clumsy nature and personality that our hero will embody when attempting to stop the criminals from rampaging the innocent home.

Speaking of which, I placed the photo of a beautiful modern home to showcase the setting in which the film will be taking place. The multiple images of armed, masked, and hooded men represent the burglars that the hero will attempt to stop. I also put a picture of gorgeous jewelry, representing the riches and goods the criminals hope to steal from the property. Lastly, I added a photo of sunlight, expressing that we are hopping and planning on filming the video during the daytime, as opposed to being at it during the night, when many robberies usually take place.
