Final Project Idea

Good evening everyone! These past couple day’s, Jon, Yulian, Pedro and I have been discussing and trying to come up with which of our previous concepts would be best for us to pursue when making out Final Project. 

At first, it was clear to us that our ‘Stranded in the Forest’ idea was the obvious and best choice, but after careful thinking and consideration, we realized that our other idea was perfect for us. That of course is the Superhero Comedy, which we have decided a name for, that being:

“Super”-Hero

As I mentioned in a previous blog post, the project would opening with multiple masked men robbing a house and unsuspecting house. It show’s them wreaking and stealing everything they can find. When all of a sudden, a large shadow is shown floating downward on the outside window, with a large boom hitting the ground.

The robbers, go outside to check what all the noise was about, and they are frozen in fear. As they see a superhero has come to stop them, and save the day. A visible worry is seen from the masked criminals, until they realize,  just how clumsy the superhero really is. The superhero is shown slipping and falling, and accidentally knocking stuff over. Losing care for the situation, the robbers go back to stealing everything, as the superhero tries and fails stopping them again and again throughout the introduction. 

With the genre being a comedy movie, we are making sure to come up with as many gags, accidents, and mess ups that could happen to our superhero. Although there have been many superhero comedies in the past, I think that our porject can easily standout from the crowd, as we plan to make the intro overly cartoony, through he movement of the actors and the effects that are put into the video during the editing phase. I would also LOVE to add a one shot scene, showcasing all the accidents and screw ups of the superhero. 

I have fallen in love with this idea. The more I think about it, the more ideas that i have for what and how we could film and edit it, I can’t wait to finally get started!
