Transitions
Hello again! Today, I have been tasked to create and share three transitions. I was able to create 6 shots and 3 transitions with my good friend Wyatt, with a majority of the filming being done in our Study Hall class that we share together. The three transitions that I chose to work on were Dissolve, Wipe, and Iris.

Dissolve Transition
For my first video, I decided to create a Dissolve Transition. I began by filming my friend Wyatt on my tablet, pretending to be working on a computer in our Study Hall class, and then, with as little movement of the camera as possible, having him pretend to lie on the chair almost lifelessly as if something terrible had happened to him. Shortly after filming, I used my tablet's editing software, CapCut, to quickly edit the video. Even though I have less experience with this editing software than with others, I took this as an opportunity to learn more about it rather than waiting to get home and using the software I'm used to. Thankfully, the shots came out well, and I believe the dissolve transition worked beautifully, blending the two scenes together perfectly.

Wipe Transition
For my second video, I challenged myself to create a Wipe Transition. Once again, using my friend Wyatt as the center of attention, I instructed him to casually walk by the camera, with my plan being to have the wipe follow along with him. After this, we recorded the second scene, where I instructed him to wave at the camera. Wyatt decided it would be best to do a similar pose that he had previously done with the dissolve transition: lying stiffly on the chair. After the filming, I again went on my tablet and quickly started stitching the videos together. I must say, however, that the editing for the wipe transition was seemingly more complicated than the other transitions, with me having to carefully align the wipe with Wyatt's movements. In the end, I think the transition turned out great! Even if Wyatt didn't fully follow my instructions.

Iris Transition
I admit it; I could have done better during my last video, using the Iris Transition. The story goes that I, for one last time, had my friend Wyatt be the center of attention of the scene, with him making a loud nose right before I cut the video. I instructed him to do this because I initially wanted this video to have a Smash Cut rather than an Iris Transition. However, my plans had to be changed as my friend and I lost track of time, with the bell ringing, indicating that our Study Hall class had finished. We parted our separate ways to go to our classes, with me having to plan out something else for my transition. I quickly decided to keep the footage with Wyatt and record the second half in the comfort of my own home, switching the Smash Cut for an Iris Transition. Once I had finished the second half of the video at my house, I used Premiere Pro on my computer to edit the two scenes together. The process was surprisingly fairly simple, and I believe the video and transition turned out very well.
